In 2005, I became hooked to a little show called "Making The Band 2" (You might have heard of it?) and in that particular show I was introduced to a group by the name of Danity Kane. Comprised of 5 girls, Aundrea, Dawn, D. Woods, Shannon and Aubrey; they were put together to form the next superstar R&B/pop girl group. Surprising everyone they made two platinum albums and had a string of hits; everything was looking up!! Then they broke up....

Being as how I was a SUPER fan, I was devastated!! Then I got the great news that DK was getting back together...but as a trio. Fine, whatever just give me more music!! And I was especially excited because it involved 3 of my favorites Dawn Richard, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex. So I get all excited and right before they drop the album...they break up again. Tragic.

Then something magical happens, members Aubrey and Shannon decide they're not going to quit just yet and decide to form a duo called "Dumblonde". I'll give them a chance just off the strength of them being in Danity Kane and my thirst for new music. BEST. DECISION. EVER!!!

Ditching their urban pop sound, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex were reborn as an electric dance/ 80's synth inspired duo and it totally works!! Over the weekend I became entranced in their new sound and their new look and couldn't get enough of their album. Some of my favorite tracks are "Dreamsicle", "Tender Green Life", and "Remember Me".
I put some clips of the songs below, you can purchase the album now on iTunes:
