How did you determine what you were passionate about?
I kind of fell into this business. I’ve worked in government and politics, web design and even for some non-profits. God will often give you clues to what you’re supposed to do, so it’s your job to really pay attention to what you like to do and what you do well and understanding business is one of those things. I love it because I get to be creative and none of my days are exactly the same. But I’m passionate about helping people build profitable businesses and financial stability for their families, and every job I’ve ever held led me to this place.
What challenges have you overcome to pursue your dreams?
WOW. Tons lol. My family wasn’t the most stable growing up, so of course that comes with its own set of insecurities. I think the biggest challenge I face even today is being a mom and an entrepreneur. My oldest son is 10, so navigating entrepreneurship and still being the kind of mom I wanted to be has always been tough. I went through this period of time when I was really wondering if I made the right decision because entrepreneurship requires some major sacrifices sometimes. But I think every day will present its own set of challenges. So I’ve learned to stop seeing obstacles as obstacles and start seeing opportunities to thrive. The great thing is every single challenge I’ve ever faced I’ve lived through, right? If you can remind yourself of that, you can really overcome anything
How do you stay focused and productive in your area of passion?
Staying focused is easy when you have a "why" and when you understand who you were created to be, and that why has to be bigger than you. So I just remind myself that it’s always bigger than me. I have siblings, I have children, and groups of people in my community that I want to help. On the days that I want to give up I have to remind myself about THEIR needs. And then from a practical perspective, keeping lists of goals, positive quotes and affirmations, and my vision board in front of me constantly help me to stay focused on a day to day basis.
